ABC GROUP - April 8th 2016


This church is in Charlotte NC, at the corner Hawthorne Lane and E. Eighth Street. Not sure if it's being torn down or remodeled. The first service was held in the once new building on December 3, 1916. Not sure if it will make it to see it's 100 year anniversary. Here's a little more info: http://www.hlumc.org/about/history/

While watching my mom, who was a school teacher, work on classroom learning materials, I learned much about being curious, creative, and making do with what you have. Also my father worked as a journalist and news editor for over 35 years. My father had an interest in photography and bought a used Fujica SLR film camera, from a photo journalist he worked with, to take family photos. Later he gave this to me as my first camera. With this camera I started photography around 7th grade, and was involved with school newspapers, and yearbooks, all through school. Classmates began hiring me, for their events and parties.
